Egyptian Embassy in Abu Dhabi Celebrates the 74th Anniversary of the July 23 Revolution… UAE Embodies a Model of Strategic Partnership with Egypt

In a patriotic atmosphere filled with pride and dignity, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the United Arab Emirates celebrated the 74th anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution. The occasion was marked by an official reception hosted by His Excellency Ambassador Essam Ashour, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the UAE, in the presence of high-ranking official and diplomatic dignitaries.

The celebration was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event also drew a large gathering of excellencies, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of accredited diplomatic missions, senior officials, business leaders, media figures, and members of the Egyptian community, reflecting the distinguished stature of Egyptian-Emirati relations.

In his keynote address, H.E. Ambassador Essam Ashour emphasized that the July 23 Revolution remains a pivotal turning point in modern Egyptian history, owing to the national values it established that helped build the modern Egyptian state. He highlighted the development projects and strategic achievements currently unfolding across various sectors in Egypt, guided by a vision aimed at achieving sustainable development and bolstering the nation’s regional and international standing under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

His Excellency also praised the depth of the fraternal ties binding the Arab Republic of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, affirming that they represent a unique Arab model of cooperation and integration. This relationship, he noted, is built upon a historic legacy of mutual trust and support, as well as a shared vision for development, stability, and prosperity.

The UAE stands out as one of the largest investors in Egypt, with investments spanning vital and diverse sectors. This reflects the depth of the economic partnership between the two nations and underscores that Egyptian-Emirati relations have transcended traditional cooperation to become a comprehensive strategic partnership serving the mutual interests of both brotherly peoples.

Furthermore, His Excellency extended a tribute of appreciation and pride to the Egyptian community in the UAE, commending their patriotic role and outstanding contributions to the UAE’s development journey. He lauded them for projecting a bright image of Egyptian citizens, emphasizing that the Egyptian community has always been, and remains, an active partner in the milestones achieved by the UAE.

The celebration was characterized by impeccable organization and warm hospitality, reflecting an atmosphere of mutual affection and appreciation between the two brotherly peoples. It also served as a platform for networking among officials, diplomats, and community members during a national occasion that embodied the strength of the humanitarian and official ties binding Cairo and Abu Dhabi.

On the sidelines of the celebration, a remarkable documentary photo exhibition was held, organized by the National Library and Archives of the UAE in cooperation with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The exhibition showcased prominent milestones in the decades-long history of Egyptian-Emirati relations through a rare collection of historical photographs documenting official meetings and mutual visits between the leadership of both countries, as well as the relations that connected various leaders of Egypt and the UAE. The exhibition was highly received by guests, as it mirrored the depth of fraternal bonds, the deep-rooted historical relations, and the continuous evolution of the strategic partnership between the two countries across various fields.

As the evening concluded, feelings of pride resonated for Egypt’s history and its pioneering role in supporting regional development and stability, alongside its steadfast backing of all brotherly nations, particularly the UAE.
